TDA & CS Merge this Weekend

Good morning and welcome to our last day with TD Ameritrade.

You likely know how pleased I have been since June of 2018 to serve you and manage your investment accounts from that custodian. Well, effective next Tuesday, we will begin working for you from Charles Schwab as our new custodian. The merger of the two custodians is finally here. For many of you this is a return to Schwab since it was our chosen custodian before transitioning to TD Ameritrade.

My intent is to keep this note brief. I just wanted to share with you a reminder that this is our last day with TDA and reiterate how seamless the transition to Schwab truly is. There is nothing for you to do or be concerned about. Your new account number(s) have already been created at Schwab – a letter dated August 1 was mailed to you from Charles Schwab with that information. Over the this long Labor Day weekend the transfers will occur. So, beginning Tuesday you’ll be able to access your accounts at Schwab, using your Schwab Login ID and password. Your assets, positions, and account information will be waiting for you to view at SchwabAlliance.com. That will be the home address for you to visit your account(s) going forward. When convenient, just log on to Schwab Alliance (schwaballiance.com) to create your credentials. This will ensure you can view your accounts whenever you want. All you do one time on Schwab Alliance is click on New User and follow the easy prompts. If you prefer, you can use your existing TD Ameritrade client login credentials for your new Schwab login. Again, this information, as well as your new account numbers, was sent to you in the letter from Schwab on August 1.

I just wanted to share with you this morning that I am also pleased with this development. We look forward to serving your financial needs from the newly formed custodian combining the best of the two. In the nearly four years since Schwab announced their acquisition of TD Ameritrade, I have formed a clear vision of what to expect from this merger. It is positive.
